Ferrocarriles Suburbanos announced that starting Sunday, April 5, 2026, it will increase the fare for the Suburban Train of the Metropolitan Zone of the Valley of Mexico. Through an official statement, the company informed users that the cost of a short trip will increase from 11.00 to 11.50 pesos, while the long-distance fare will rise from 25.50 to 26.50 pesos. The concessionaire specified that this fare adjustment is contemplated in the Concession Title of the railway system. This body, which is attached to the Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transport (SICT), authorized the update, which was also published in the Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF). The transport administration urged passengers to take precautions in light of this modification and called on users to remember to update the Mi Suburbano application in the virtual store to maintain compatibility with the updated payment system.
